Working since the early 1990s, German photographer Juergen Teller is world-renowned for his celebrity portraits, provocative editorials for major magazines, and original fashion campaigns.

The show at Trienniale features features over 1,000 works, including both personal and commissioned works, iconic images, and new photographic series, as well as videos and installations.

"I need to live" is both a personal statement and a motivational phrase that sums up the artist's emotions in the face of the tragic events that have marked his existence. Through his photographs, Teller acknowledges the fragility of human life and celebrates the importance of being alive.
