Unmissable at PAC: Shirin Neshat & Céline Croze

From March 28 to June 8, the PAC in Milan hosts two exhibitions that powerfully, lyrically,
and insightfully engage with the tensions of contemporary existence.
Shirin Neshat, the internationally renowned Iranian artist, explores identity, memory, and belonging in her exhibition “Body of Evidence” through photographs, videos, and installations that speak of freedom, exile, and dreams.
An intense exhibition spanning over thirty years of her career, featuring some of her most iconic works alongside very recent pieces, where the poetry of images intertwines with political and social reflection, placing women’s gaze and their struggles at the center.
In the Project Room, Céline Croze presents “SQEVNV” – an acronym for “Siempre que estemos vivos, nos veremos” (“As long as we are alive, we will see each other”) – a dreamlike and visceral journey into the dark heart of Latin America.
Photographs and videos filled with archetypal symbols tell a raw and uncompromising story of violence, love, and the will to survive in extreme contexts. A personal and brutal work that transforms intimacy into a form of protest.
We love them because they are two powerful and complementary female voices, capable of capturing—with beauty and radicality—the clash between light and shadow, past and present, reality and vision. Two visual narratives that cross the borders of the world and those of the soul.
