Saodat Ismailova's visionary exhibition

From 13 September 2024, the Hangar Bicocca in Milan will host an exhibition dedicated to Saodat Ismailova, a prominent Uzbek artist on the contemporary scene. The exhibition offers a multi-sensory journey through videos, photographs and installations exploring themes such as collective memory, cultural traditions and the role of women in Central Asia.
At the centre of the exhibition is a video installation that tells stories of women and forgotten rituals, creating a bridge between past and present. Saodat Ismailova gives voice to often ignored narratives, transforming local stories into universal reflections.
Open until January 2025, the exhibition is an important opportunity
to discover the work of an artist who combines tradition and modernity in a powerful artistic dialogue.
