Milan becomes the grand stage of contemporary art

70 Italian artists
invade the streets of Milan
from 8 April 2024
From April 8 and for the following two weeks - in conjunction with miart, Art Week, and Design Week - with the project ITALIA 70, curated by Massimiliano Gioni, the Fondazione Nicola Trussardi returns to invade the streets of Milan with an explosion of images created by 70 artists.

In 2004, with I NUOVI MOSTRI, the Foundation disseminated hundreds of posters made by sixteen young Italian artists in the streets of Milan, from the center to the suburbs: an anthology of views on Italy and its changing identity that became an irreverent occupation of public spaces.
Twenty years after that pioneering experiment - among the first incursions with which Fondazione Nicola Trussardi began to bring contemporary art to the most unexpected places in the city - the Foundation returns to that format, this time involving 70 artists working in Italy.
This time, the images will be promoted through an extensive public billboard campaign, which will take over the streets and squares, involving both those who work in the field and passers-by in a sort of treasure hunt throughout the city. The initiative will draw a new map of Milan, from the Monumental Cemetery area to the Historical Centre, from City Life to Porta Romana.
